The closest heavy equipment to the Fish Lake Valley is out of Bishop. Barnett Gatrell rents out construction equipment. High Country Lumber, also out of Bishop, sells materials and tools. If you’re headed to Tonopah there’s Central Nevada Hardware. If you’re looking for a general contractor I would recommend Clay Woods of Woods construction, 702-481-7620 during regular business hours.

In Fish Lake Valley the diamond-in-the-rough of GFC Sales exist. A legitimate hardware store, the selection is truly amazing for being in such a remote area. The catch? Cash only. Fortunately there’s an ATM. The prices are all a little higher but it’s either that or Tonopah or Bishop.
